It is intended to help the listener follow a technical lecture or paper and may follow the order given there.

Handouts are 6-80 pages depending on the course and are sent as PDFs.

Not useful as a stand-alone work, it also contains the author’s judgmental opinion, which must be commented on as part of a discussion. It is possible to distinguish between a substantive thesis statement, which deals with the central statements of a paper, and a chronological thesis statement, in which sequence plays a role. The most important results are reproduced.
